Giving to CLC

How will your gift be used?

Creative Living Center is a non-profit agency.  As a non-profit agency, we depend on funding from government grants to pay participants’ fees, and support from  donations from  organizations, clubs, churches and individuals within the community in order to be able to offer our services. The amount of State funding that we receive for participants’ fees is much less than the actual cost.  In addition, we must generate additional income from private paying participants.  Most participants are elderly and/or disabled,  have limited incomes, and cannot afford to pay privately, thus limiting the number of private paying participants.  For many years, we received a grant from the United Way for almost $40,000/year.  One of the benefits of that funding was that it helped us to be able to offer our services to all our private paying participants at a reduced rate.    In addition, our services are not covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance.  Although our private pay fee is now $46.00/day, the majority of our participants were allowed to pay much less. Creative Living Center fees are still very reasonable in comparison to the cost of homecare services which are upwards of $75.00/day.)  As of March 2009, United Way funding has been discontinued, leaving us with a large deficit.  At this time, we are facing the very sad fact that we may soon have to close our doors if we are not able to make up for this loss of income. We have recently become certified by the Veterans Administration as a Contract Veteran Adult Day Health Care Program.. This means that elligible Vetetrans can attend at no charge, but Veteran participants will be a source of income to Creative Living Center.  Unfortunately, it will take at least six months before we are able to see financial benefits from this program .  It is our goal to be able to stay open until this benefit can be seen, and we would like to be able to generate enough revenue through congtributions to do so. It is our hope that through your generosity,  after over twenty years of providing a most valuable and needed service to our community, we will be able to continue to do so.

Creative Living Center would like to encourage you to make a donation to our valuable program now.
