Comprehensive Health Care
One thing that makes CLC truly unique is the all-encompassing health care program we offer to our participants. Our Health Care Coordinator, a Registered Nurse, monitors and maintains all aspects of each of our participant’s health care. The Health Care Coordinator is a well-seasoned nurse with extensive experience in disease management and senior care. The Health Care Coordinator administers both standing order/over-the-counter and prescription medications for each of our participants. She is also responsible for administering injections, changing bandages and dressings, monitoring/caring for injuries, measuring vital signs, and adhering to all physician orders. Each participant has an individualized careplan created specifically for them in order to meet their individual health care needs. Careplans are evaluated and updated regularly to ensure their needs are continued to be met.
Nutrition & Healthy Diet
CLC offers nutrition programs and a healthy diet for all our participants. We serve two healthy snacks and a nutritious catered lunch daily. We are able to accommodate any diet, including diabetic, gluten-free, mechanical soft, low sodium, and more.
Daily Programs
CLC offers a variety of diverse programs, games, and activities that are adapted to meet each participant’s individual needs. Daily programs include:
- Trivia and word games
- Board and card games
- Exercise & walking programs
- Bible study and religious devotionals
- Physical activities & adapted sports
- Therapeutic activities designed to improve fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Mind stimulation and reminiscence activities
- Arts & crafts
- Music therapy
- Seasonal activities and special events
- Monthly health and educational in-services
CLC Outings
Creative Living Center participants have at least two scheduled outings per month that they may choose to participate in. These outings include lunch outings, bowling, fishing, business/government tours, seasonal shows/events, movies, and more. Transportation to and from outings are provided free of charge to each CLC participant.
